Players from the winning side generally receive the bulk of the coaches votes, so Sunday’s draw between North Melbourne and GWS threw up a curveball for David Noble and Leon Cameron.

A number of North players have been recognised for their brilliant performances which saw the Kangaroos storm out to a 28-point lead at three quarter time.

Ben Cunnington was a rock in midfield, polling seven votes thanks to his 2 goal, 9 clearance performance in the middle of the park.

Aaron Hall was once again a dangerous playmaker from the half back flank, collecting four votes as recognition for his 35 touches.

Todd Goldstein and Cam Zurhaar both received two votes, with Goldstein dominating in the ruck with 29 hitouts and a goal.

Zurhaar, meanwhile, was back to his best. Kicking two majors and registering 10 score involvements - more than any North player so far this season.

Tarryn Thomas continued his rapid development in the midfield, polling one vote for his 19 disposals and 2 goals.

The Giants’ Josh Kelly got the maximum ten votes.
