Player Bio

Background: Pre-NMFC

After an impressive couple of seasons in the VFL, Tom Campbell was drafted from the Bendigo Bombers in the 2011 Rookie Draft.

Making his AFL debut in Round 13 the following year, he played six more senior games before claiming the 2012 Williamstown VFL Best Player Award.

With then first-choice ruckman Will Minson fit and firing, Campbell was restricted to just the final five AFL matches of the 2013 season.

It was a similar story in 2014, however the ruckman continued to develop his craft in the VFL, coming third in the JJ Liston Medal with 15 votes.

Injuries made it difficult for Campbell to enjoy a sustained run in his final few seasons at ‘the kennel’, but a fresh start means he’ll keeping Todd Goldstein on his toes going into 2019.
