After being overlooked in the first two AFLW drafts, Riddell finally earned her opportunity at the top level with North Melbourne's introduction into the competition. With each passing game the decision by the rest of the competition to not snap Riddell up proved more and more mystifying and she's now evolved to become one of the most elite ball-winners in the competition.

An ankle injury interrupted her first season at the top level but she exploded in 2020 to earn a place in the All-Australian team, before following up again in 2022 Season 6 and gaining a third blazer in 2023.

Her ability to burst through the contest with pace and power make her one of the most dangerous attacking threats in the middle of the ground, and her pinpoint disposal provides her forwards with opportunities to thrive.

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos debut: Round 1, 2019

2023: While it seemed challenging for Riddell to hit the heights she had scaled in recent seasons, the no.7 still managed to reach another level in 2023.

The midfielder was at her ball-winning best, breaking the record for most disposals in a home and away season, with 320.

She was stellar in the Round 2 victory against the Blues, finishing with 36 disposals and 10 tackles, before grabbing a season-high 37 possessions against the Dockers in Fremantle.

Capping off another terrific individual campaign that included her 50th AFLW appearance, Riddell claimed a third All-Australian selection and was voted runner-up at the club's best and fairest night.
