The Good Friday SuperClash returns this week as North Melbourne hosts Carlton at Marvel Stadium.

Outplayed by Gold Coast during the back-end of the third quarter and in the fourth term, the Kangaroos will want to rebound and rise to the Good Friday occasion to avoid moving to 1-5.

The opposition

Not too dissimilar to the Roos, Carlton has endured a rocky start to 2025 outside of one strong win.

Michael Voss' group touched up the Eagles in Gather Round last Saturday, with Sam Walsh leading the way on-field with three goals and 37 disposals in the 71-point victory.

Forwards Brodie Kemp (Achilles) and Harry McKay (concussion) will be unavailable for the Blues this week, leaving Charlie Curnow to shoulder the load inside forward 50.

Milestone man

While it feels like he's played 300 games, Friday will mark Harry Sheezel's 50th appearance at the highest level.

A Syd Barker medallist, AFL Rising Star winner, All-Australian squad member and co-vice captain at North Melbourne, Sheezel has rapidly grown into being a key figure and fan-favourite at Arden Street.

The maestro has averaged 28.4 disposals over his first 49 games, and the Roos will need him to have his hands on it plenty when they search for a win over the Blues.
