Star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke will return to North Melbourne's side as the Kangaroos head north to face Sydney at the SCG on Saturday.

Davies-Uniacke, who is among four inclusions for Round 19, has recovered fully after suffering a concussion in Round 17's loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Callum Coleman-Jones has been selected to replace ruck Tristan Xerri, whose three-match ban for striking was upheld by the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

It will be Coleman-Jones' first AFL game since he ruptured his Achilles tendon on Good Friday last season.

Brynn Teakle, another ruck option for senior coach Alastair Clarkson, has also been named for what will be his season debut for the Roos, after he played 11 games last season.

As revealed earlier on Thursday, small forward Zac Banch will make his North Melbourne debut, becoming Shinboner number 1073.

01:05

Bailey Scott, Finnbar Maley and Robert Hansen jnr (all omitted) are this weeks outs, alongside Xerri.

Banch and Teakle are named on the interchange bench with Jacob Konstanty, 50-gamer Will Phillips and last weekend's four-goal forward Cooper Harvey.

00:59

One of the five interchange players will be named substitute an hour before Saturday's 4.15pm AEST opening bounce.

Hansen jnr, Maley and Zane Duursma are this week's emergencies.
