North Melbourne will be forced to make at least three changes for Sunday's Canberra clash against the GWS Giants, with spearhead Nick Larkey, small forward Zac Banch and young gun Paul Curtis all ruled out.

Larkey exacerbated the PCL injury to his right knee after a heavy landing in Sunday's narrow defeat to St Kilda, while Banch was substituted at half-time after a collision which left him in pain and restricted his running and movement.

Curtis is unavailable due to his one-match suspension for striking Saint Angus Hastie.

The Kangaroos have added ruck Tristan Xerri to their squad, along with midfielder Will Phillips, versatile duo Bailey Scott and Finnbar Maley, and two potential debutants in forwards Geordie Payne and Cooper Trembath.

Xerri becomes available for selection this week after serving his three-match ban for striking Melbourne's Tom Sparrow.

North Melbourne will name its selected team on Friday at 5pm AEST.
