2023's AFLW Sign and Trade Period saw the Kangaroos acquire Shierlaw, a standout key forward in the competition.

Shierlaw began her AFLW career at Carlton, debuting in Round 2 of the competition’s inaugural season in 2017 and later joined St Kilda in 2020 as an expansion signing.

Using her elite combination of aerial ability and athleticism, Shierlaw booted 13 goals for the Saints in 2022 Season 7 and won the club's best and fairest award before making the switch to Arden Street.
