One of the most versatile prospects in the 2022 AFLW draft, Cassidy Mailer has shown the potential to play across any and all three lines. With elite footballing smarts, she’s capably played as a mid-forward for much of her junior career, and a successful shift into defence this year displayed her game IQ.

Mailer has had a tough run with injuries in recent years, but when she’s been fit and available she’s shown the potential to play anywhere on the field at the top level, and good strength could see her adapt well to the senior game.

Season 7: Due to a bone stress issue, Mailer spent her first season working her way back to full fitness and was unfortunately unable to put her hand up for selection at any time.

While it may have been a frustrating circumstance for the newly drafted Roo, the experience she's gained in relation to being a part of an AFLW environment will hold her in good stead going forward into 2023 where she should be primed to throw her name into the selection mix.
