Brad Scott has revealed Leigh Tudor will join the club as senior assistant coach if he’s unsuccessful with his desire to become a head coach at another club.

"Leigh has agreed to a position at North Melbourne, joining Darren Crocker as two extremely experienced coaches to support me.

"We've given Leigh the opportunity to apply for some senior coaching positions at Brisbane and West Coast. We are still confident Leigh will come to North Melbourne, but there's an Essendon coaching position which Leigh has been asked to apply for. As soon as that's rectified, we'll be able to announce Leigh in an official capacity."

North has also appointed a new development manager with Ben Dyer taking over from John Lamont, who stepped aside last week.  The current head coach of the Colts at Claremont in Western Australia, Dyer’s first contact with the Kangaroos’ players will be in Utah in November.

The 35-year-old spent a season with the Brisbane Lions Academy in 2011, before leading the Claremont under 18’s to a premiership this year.

John Donehue will also join the club as tackling coach.
