The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos will need to make at least one change heading into their Round 4 fixture against Geelong.
Having suffered a concussion in Adelaide last week, Amy Smith is set to miss out on Friday's clash at UTAS Stadium in Launceston.
If Darren Crocker and the match committee opt for a like-for-like replacement, Hannah Bowey may be a chance to make her debut.
Bowey has been named as an emergency for all three games so far and has the running and line-breaking abilities that would benefit the team on a bigger ground like UTAS Stadium.
Experienced defender Dani Hardiman, who was dealing with a knee injury at the beginning of Season 7, may be considered to replace Smith after missing out on selection last week.
This would likely see a shift in backline structure as someone would need to be pushed into the wing rotation.
Inside midfielder Perri King has been developing strongly and is another Roo pushing for a maiden AFLW call-up.
With no Smith, King could be added to the onball brigade, providing someone like Alice O'Loughlin with the opportunity to play an outside midfielder role after spending most of her return game as a half-forward.
Crocker also has a couple of small forwards at his disposal should he elect to switch up the forward-line arrangement, with Charli Granville and potential debutant Zoe Savarirayan waiting in the wings.
