Star midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke and young defender Josh Goater will both be available for selection this week after recovering from hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Davies-Uniacke hasn't featured since he picked up the soft tissue injury in the Roos' Round 9 trip to Hobart to face Port Adelaide.

Goater's latest appearance came in the VFL against Frankston in mid-May.

"Luke came into the club over the bye week just to have his game-load session, so he cleared that, ticked off all his sprint measures and his strength metrics in the gym were back up to baseline," North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White told NMFC Media.

"It's great news for Luke, and he'll be a welcome addition."

"The main thing with Josh over the past couple of weeks has been building his sprint load off the back of a previous hamstring injury before his knee injury.

"So because he got that two weeks worth of base behind him across the bye round, it enables him to present much better for a return to play this week."

As announced to the playing group on Tuesday morning, draftee Brayden George had his first integration into team training as he continues to work his way back from an ACL injury.

"He was a bit apprehensive and nervous knowing that all the boys would get around him, but the energy was great out on the ground," White recalled.

"You couldn't wipe the smile off his face, it was a great feel-good moment and a great step in his progression from rehab.

Ruck Tristan Xerri returned to play prior to the bye week, tallying 28 hitouts, 16 disposals and six clearances in the reserves' 30-point win over Coburg at Piranha Park.

"The process for him in the few weeks is building his game-load conditioning, so he'll have greater game exposure and less stints on the bench," White said.

"He had a conditioning session over the bye round to keep him up to speed, and we'll look to further progress his conditioning through game day again this week."

Defender Aiden Bonar is tracking well with his knee injury, and closing in on a return to the field.

"We're anticipate that Aiden will be available next week," White mentioned.

"He'll reintegrate with the group as of Thursday and then progress his load over the weekend to be available for next week."
