North Melbourne is set to blood as many six first-gamers on Sunday against the Crows in Port Lincoln.

New recruits Shaun Higgins and Jarrad Waite are set to line up in the royal blue and white for the first time, should they be named in the Kangaroos’ final 26.

Highly-touted tall forward Sam Durdin, key defender Daniel Nielson and midfielder Will Fordham are among the draftees eyeing a debut.

Trent Dumont, who joined the club via the 2013 National Draft is yet to line up in North colours, but could make his first appearance.

Brad Scott is likely to field a strong on-ball brigade, with the likes of Jack Ziebell, Daniel Wells and Ben Cunnington all named in the squad.

Robbie Tarrant could get his first chance in defence, while Lindsay Thomas will get his wish to play in his home town of Port Lincoln.

North’s squad of 29 will be reduced by three ahead of Sunday afternoon’s clash.
