North Melbourne could make as many as four changes to the side that lost to Adelaide, after the naming of its initial 25-man squad.

Mason Wood, Robin Nahas, Robbie Tarrant and Ben Brown have all been included on an extended interchange bench, with Ben Jacobs the only player omitted at this stage.

Wood had an impressive pre-season campaign, booting a goal against the Hawks and two against Richmond a fortnight later.

The medium-forward burst onto the scene with three goals on debut in Round 23 last year.

Nahas was promoted from the rookie list last week in place of Daniel Nielson, who was moved to the long-term injury list.

The 27-year-old booted eight goals in a fortnight at VFL level, and was named as an emergency for the clash against the Crows.

Tarrant is likely to feature down back should he make the final 22, while Brown was a late withdrawal against the Crows last week and could slot in as a third tall in attack.

The final team will be named on Friday afternoon on NMFC.com.au.
