Trent Dumont built on his AFL debut in 2015, playing a further 12 games in 2016 including his first ever final.

The 21-year-old cemented a spot in North’s midfield in the latter stages of the season, including seven consecutive matches to finish off his year.

“For him now it’s about building on his game to take it to the next level, because he’s played enough footy in the last couple of years.

“He’s definitely shown this year he can play at the level and he should take a lot of confidence from that."
