North Melbourne defender Charlie Comben has committed his long-term future to the club, signing a massive six-year contract extension.
The deal sees Comben turn his back on free agency next year and will keep the high-flying defender at Arden Street until at least the end of 2033.
He joins a wave of core players to lock in their futures this season alongside the likes Harry Sheezel, George Wardlaw, Finn O’Sullivan, Paul Curtis and Cooper Trembath.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a consistent 2026 campaign, playing every game so far this season and celebrating his 50th AFL match earlier this year.
Since being selected with pick No.31 in the 2019 AFL Draft, Comben’s resilience and development have seen him emerge as a crucial pillar of the Kangaroos' defensive unit.
His impact on the field has been matched by his growth as a leader, where ahead of the 2026 season Comben was voted into the club's leadership group.
North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said securing Comben’s commitment for the next seven seasons was a monumental result for the club.
