Gold Coast rebounder Adam Saad wants to join the growing player migration to Tullamarine, requesting a trade to Essendon on Thursday.

Saad is understood to have informed the Suns that the Bombers are his preferred new home, but the 23-year-old has not completely closed the door on a move to another Victorian club.

Saad joins Devon Smith in seeking a move to Essendon, the uncontracted Giant forward having nominated the Dons as his preferred new club earlier on Thursday.

Western Bulldogs forward Jake Striner is also expected to ask for a trade to the Bombers soon.

Saad is contracted with the Suns for 2018 but wants to move home to Victoria for family reasons.
