AFL Fantasy is back for another season, and the team at Footy Prophet will again be supplying NMFC.com.au with premium fantasy analysis and tips for the 2015 season.

A history-making night for the North Melbourne Football Club was also a solid night for its fantasy performers with Jack Ziebell the best for the Kangaroos.

North became the first team in history to make a preliminary final from eighth by defeating the Swans and now face a battle with West Coast for a spot in the Grand Final.

Ziebell was North’s only player to crack triple figures in fantasy. The vice-captain had 25 disposals (13 contested) along with eight clearances, eight tackles and nine inside 50s for a total of 109 points.

Ben Cunnington also proved bullish through the midfield with 29 disposals, 14 contested possessions and seven clearances for 97 points.

Jarrad Waite added to his string of impressive finals performances, kicking three important goals on the night. He also took nine marks to finish with 90 points.

Shaun Higgins also hit 90 with 28 disposals and Todd Goldstein had 34 hit-outs and a goal on his way to a score of 87.

Continuing the history-making theme, Goldstein also became the first ruckman in VFL/AFL history to record 1,000 hit-outs in a season.

Nick Dal Santo (84), Jamie Macmillan (81) and Sam Gibson (81) also put up solid scores for the evening.

Sydney’s side of the affair was more impressive for top-line fantasy scores but didn’t get the job done in terms of a win.

Josh P Kennedy (130), Dane Rampe (124), Kurt Tippett (115) and Adam Goodes (105) all put up big totals but it wasn’t enough to get the Swans over the line.

Goodes kicked the last goal of the game in a fitting finish to an enormous career with the Swans.

Ben Jacob’s tagging power was prominent again as he kept Dan Hannebery to 20 disposals, just six of which were kicks.
Hannebery finished on a lowly 65 points for the night.

Around the Grounds

Nine players cracked the fantasy ton in the only other game of the week with Luke Breust the best on ground. The Hawk kicked six goals and finished with 136 points, the biggest score of the week.

Jordan Lewis (107), Luke Hodge (107), Sam Mitchell (106) and Liam Shiels (100) also hit triple digits for the Hawks, while Sam Jacobs (120), Scott Thompson (111), Patrick Dangerfield (105) and Rory Laird (101) were the best for the Crows.
