Much of the hard work is done, and now it’s about putting the plans into action as the countdown to Saturday night rolls on.

The players hit the training track on Wednesday for their main skills session of the week, with selection still very much in the balance and spots on the line.

A big crowd lined the fence at Arden St as Brad Scott and his assistants put the players through their paces.

With all North’s available players still training hard, there was plenty to prove during a two-hour training run.

“We’re really excited. It was a bit weird having the week off, but from the start of this week it’s been all engines going,” Luke McDonald said.

“It’s been the best week on the track for a very long time.”

The players will fly out to Adelaide on Friday, holding an open session at Adelaide Oval from 4.30pm local time.
