Injuries have hit the Kangaroos hard, but following a loss to the Hawks last Friday, several big names could return to take on the Crows.

While a six-day turn around could prove a challenge for the Roos, they’ll no doubt be doing everything to claim a big scalp before the bye.

Have your say on any potential changes in the comments.

Midfielders

Andrew Swallow (concussion) and Ben Cunnington (corked thigh) were close to playing against Hawthorn, but North’s no risk policy came into play, ruling both out. The duo is in line to return this week. With doubts over the fitness of Daniel Wells (ankle), their returns are timely.

Ryan Clarke is also waiting in the wings and would have been encouraged by the debut of fellow draftee Corey Wagner. Could this be his week to follow suit?

Forwards

Jarrad Waite admitted he shouldn’t have played against the Cats a fortnight ago, but could be primed for a return in Round 13 after shaking off a hip injury.

While North generated plenty of shots on goal last week, its goal kickers couldn’t convert and it ultimately cost the club the game. Waite’s inclusion could be a huge boost as he had 20 possessions and 3 goals when the sides first met in Round 1.

Defenders

Lachlan Hansen has firmed as a likely replacement for Luke McDonald, who went down with a serious hamstring injury. Having only played one game at AFL level so far this season, Hansen was rested for Werribee’s second half in the VFL on Saturday to keep his legs fresh.
