North Melbourne is excited to confirm ARC as its headline music act for the 2015 Blackwoods Grand Final Breakfast.

The members of the band, a supergroup made up of selected members of You Am I, Spiderbait, Powderfinger and Jet, got their first look at the breakfast venue today, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The members of the band were also joined by North Melbourne skipper Andrew Swallow and midfielder Nick Dal Santo.

ARC member, and former Jet bass guitarist, Mark Wilson said he was looking forward to playing on the day at an event he's long admired.

"This breakfast has been an intriguing part of footy culture since you were a kid," Wilson said.

"It's so massive and such a respected thing throughout the whole country and not just Melbourne so it's very cool to be involved."

Packages to the event also include access to the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Wilson said fans could expect to hear pieces from some of Australia and New Zealand's biggest bands, such as ACDC, INXS and of course some of Australia's most memorable music from their own respective careers.

"We're Australia's greatest cover band."

Swallow said the Blackwoods Grand Final Breakfast was an important tradition for the biggest day in Australian sport.

"It's an outstanding day," Swallow said.

"It's recognised as the number one grand final breakfast. All the big names come and this year is no exception."

Swallow also said this year's venue was particularly exciting.

"We're really excited that we get to host it again this year, and to come down here to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is going to be a great thing.

"It's a good way to start the day."
