North Melbourne's Majak Daw had to be removed from the field of play on two occasions during the Foxtel Cup on Tuesday night in Perth.

The ruckman was playing for Werribee and looked to be in a bad way after copping some friendly fire from the hip of team-mate Ben Speight in the second quarter.

Despite being escorted from the field by medical staff, after a short spell on the bench, he was cleared to play on.

"He just had a really light knock to the head.  By the time I got out there he was completely coherent, remembered the incident, was not groggy and we had it all cleared by the doc from Freo (East Fremantle) and we're happy with that," North physiotherapist David Dawes said.

However, just before half-time, Daw was taken into the change rooms for more treatment and didn't return with Fox Footy's Ben Dixon reporting he was suffering from "slight concussion".

It was a night to forget for the Tigers with East Fremantle dominating the semi-final from the opening bounce and getting out to a handy lead.  Any hopes of a win for the visitors were washed away with torrential rain bucketing down after the long break.

Ayden Kennedy was solid down back throughout the night and Scott McMahon played limited minutes in his return from an ankle injury.

Kieran Harper worked hard to get into the game as did Will Sierakowski, but there were few winners in the incredibly difficult conditions.

The Sharks took out the match by 24 points

East Fremantle: 6.4.40
Werribee: 2.4.16
