Werribee will boast a strong cast of North talls in attack for its season-opener on Sunday.

Torquay’s Spring Creek Reserve will play host to the Tigers’ clash against Geelong, with the likes of Mason Wood, Majak Daw, Ben McKay and Nick Larkey part of a formidable forward six.

All eyes will be on Wood as he plays his first game since North’s opening JLT series match in February.

The athletic forward was sidelined with a hamstring injury, followed by a knee setback, but is now ready to make his return.

A knock at training kept Daw out of the Roos’ Round 3 game in Hobart, with the match committee opting to bring him back via the VFL.

In all, 15 Kangaroos have been named in Werribee’s squad with Ryan Clarke and Declan Mountford leading the charge in the middle, and Ed Vickers-Willis, Mitch Hibberd, Sam Durdin and Declan Watson in the back half.

The Werribee team underwent their final preparations with a training session at Arden Street on Friday.

NMFC.com.au will be tweeting the match live from 2pm, as well as providing match reports and video highlights on Sunday night.
