DESPITE the frustration of Sunday's draw with the Tigers, North Melbourne captain Brent Harvey does not support the call for the League to consider extra time in matches.

Richmond caretaker coach Jade Rawlings said drawn matches should be extended to determine a winner, but Harvey disagreed.

"You can't play around with the game too much," he said from Arden Street on Tuesday.

"After four quarters, the game's a draw, it's not a good feeling but ... I reckon we just leave it the way it is."

North trailed by 42 points at half time on Sunday and fought back to snatch a late lead only for the Tigers to reply through Mitch Morton.

With almost 30 minutes played in the fourth term, forward David Hale took a contested mark within  range but gave away a free kick in the process.

Harvey said his teammates had moved on from the disappointment and were now focused on Saturday night's clash with the Brisbane Lions.

"You have Monday to have a sook about things then come Tuesday you're full steam ahead," he said.

Harvey confirmed that Hale (corked leg) would be fine to play and said the Roos were also buoyed by knowledge that Lions forward Daniel Bradshaw (hamstring) had been ruled out.

Bradshaw was held to one goal in round 10 – a match the Roos lost by 18 points – but had kicked 11 in his previous two games against them.

"The two big fellas up there, (Jonathan) Brown and Bradshaw, have dominated against us the last couple of times so it would be good to have one of our big guys go to Brown and not have to worry about Bradshaw," he said.

"Also (Jared) Brennan, I don't think he'll come up because he's got a bit of a crook ankle. It's not good news [for them], but good news for us."

Harvey acknowledged that capturing an elusive victory for interim coach Darren Crocker was also a motivating factor.

North's three losing margins before the weekend's draw were 22 points (Western Bulldogs), 15 (Sydney Swans) and nine (Hawthorn) and Harvey hoped a win was near.

"Crock's not one to talk about win and loss, but probably about bettering the group," he said. "There comes a time when you want to put your arm around him and sing the song.

"Out of the four games he's coached we've been in winning positions in the last quarter. It's been disappointing but we're one step closer and hopefully we can get a win this week.

"They're fourth or fifth on the ladder so we're going to have our hands full. It's going to be a big challenge for us."
