Friendships will be put aside in the coming weeks as North Melbourne's players fight to impress senior coach Brad Scott ahead of the club's opening NAB Cup match against Geelong..

The Roos will partake in two intra-club matches; the first in Ballarat next Wednesday, and the other at Arden Street the following Friday.

There promises to be some fierce competition as North's players are pitted against each other in a battle for spots.

It's the first chance supporters will get to see the likes of running machine Ryan Bastinac and exciting rookie Majak Daw in action. Jack Ziebell will be out to show his improvement with Sam Wright and Robbie Tarrant take another step up.
