Sydney utility Dean Towers is a chance to make his return against North Melbourne on Saturday night.

Towers missed the clash against Geelong after copping a poke to the eye at training last week.

“It caused a hyphema, which is a bleed in the eye,” Swans' Head of Football Tom Harley told the club's website.

“Obviously we had to treat that with great respect so he saw the specialist on Thursday and was subsequently ruled out.

“Dean will see the specialist tomorrow morning, we are expecting that to be positive news, but until we get that we won’t know.”

Lance Franklin (bruised heel) and Dan Hannebery (groin) will be sidelined for Round 7, while Lewis Melican has suffered a minor setback in his return from a hamstring strain and is also set to miss.
