First half review – Ben Dyer

“He spent the pre-season as an inside mid, which was quite new to him. He would have derived some benefit from that, but then once the season started it was decided to play him in a position where he was a bit more comfortable for his first go at senior VFL level.

“In the small number of games he played, because of his competitiveness more than anything else, he was really hard to play on and had a real defend-first focus that you want in a defender. It was a shame to see him go down because he was tracking quite well up until that point.”

Second half review – Ben Dyer

“He’s got a fair bit of strength back into the shoulder already and he should be right to go for pre-season.

“We were pretty excited about what he was able to do before his injury. He’s a real pro already with his training and he thinks about the game a lot.”
