After a solid win against the Saints, Brad Scott predicted North could make “up to ten changes” for its second NAB Challenge game against Collinwood in Wagga.

While squads won’t be named until Thursday, there are plenty of players looking for an opportunity ahead of the season proper.

Experienced heads

North had six of its Preliminary Final team members miss last week, and each are raring to go.

Sam Gibson and Ben Jacobs have declared themselves fit with Lachlan Hansen, Nick Dal Santo, Todd Goldstein and Ben Brown also standing-by for a call-up.

Daniel Wells’ intra-club form had the football world talking, and he’s set for the final two practice matches.

Plenty to prove

With plenty of players vying for spots in their position, the likes of Aaron Black, Aaron Mullett, Robin Nahas and Brad McKenzie will be hoping to put themselves in the best position possible with solid performances against the Magpies if selected.

New faces

An emergency in Wangaratta, Declan Mountford could be in line for his first chance in the royal blue and white.

Mitch Hibberd has also had an impressive start at Arden Street, and did plenty in the intra-club matches to suggest a bright future at the club.

All will be revealed on midday Thursday, as North names its 29-man squad.
