Daniel Currie will make his return to football this week, lining up for Werribee on Saturday afternoon.

It has been a month since the ruckman's last game, after he injured his scapula in a collision against Essendon.

His return, albeit with limited game-time will boost a Werribee outfit looking to rebound after kicking just five goals last week.

The Werribee affiliated Kangaroos could look to their North Ballarat affiliated teammates for tips on the Northern Blues. The Roosters were victorious last week against the same opposition, booting 15 goals.

Mason Wood and Majak Daw will undoubtedly spend a large amount of time playing forward given the return of Currie. The attacking pair will be next in line for a senior call-up should North's talls fail to fire.

Meanwhile, the Roosters will be featured on ABC TV in the match of the week for Victorian viewers. Aaron Mullett and Brad McKenzie will return to boost the home side in their clash against Bendigo Gold.

Boasting another scalp in Jeff Garlett, Max Warren will look to continue his good form. Whether he retreats to his normal position in the defensive 50 or continues his excursion into the middle will be an intriguing sub-plot.

Mitch Wilkins has been providing a spark early in the last fortnight for the Roosters, kicking two goals in the first quarter of each game.

Last time North Ballarat played Bendigo, it kicked 22 goals. If the same pattern repeats, the developing Kangaroo will look to cash in.

Liam Anthony will again be the focal point of the Roosters' ball movement. Coming off a 35-disposal performance last week, another similar game should get the midfielder back into senior contention.
