With Werribee needing a win to cement a VFL finals berth, Kieran Harper will return to action after missing a week with a slight ankle sprain.

After failing to pass a fitness test last week, Harper’s presence, perhaps off half-back once more as he did a fortnight ago, will give the Tigers some much needed run and carry.

Jamie Macmillan will continue his comeback from a broken fibula. The defender played a full game last week, his first since Round 3 against Port Adelaide.

With match fitness crucial, another strong performance could have him back in the frame for a recall to the North Melbourne side.

Mason Wood has now become one of Werribee’s most important players. With 29 goals for the year, and having been named in the bests on nine occasions, the left-footer will be hoping to make an impact once again.

Named as an emergency on several occasions this year for the Kangaroos, Wood is sure to get his chance if he can keep performing.

A Tigers’ win will guarantee a place in the finals, while a loss will open the door for Geelong to snatch eighth place.

Meanwhile, North Ballarat has cemented its place in September, and will face Port Melbourne in the final round of the home and away season.

Hoping to win back his spot, Aaron Mullett will focus on the defensive side of his game. With ball in hand, he’s clearly at AFL standard, as evidenced by a 34 disposals, 13 mark outing last week at VFL level.

Eric Wallace will be looking to bounce back from a quiet game against Williamstown. The American rookie lowered his colours on the day, but a meeting against the best side in the competition will provide the perfect opportunity to bounce back.

Joel Tippett will miss this weekend’s action with a calf injury.
