Season highlights, their statistics and quotes from the player from the course of the year will be included.

Season in review

It was a second successive tricky season for Kieran Harper in 2014.

An ankle injury meant the number 23 had a delayed start to the season, meaning he was unable to get too many miles in his legs.

On his return, Harper resumed in his high half-forward role for Werribee, also pushing slightly further up the ground in an attempt to find form and touch.

As Harper continued to build his match time in the VFL, he was shuffled around in a handful of different roles. He spent some time in the middle before playing a couple of games off half-back.

Unfortunately another ankle problem prematurely ended his 2014. He then had a further cleanout of his ankle following the season, and should resume full training shortly before Christmas.

May 30 – Believe and succeed – NMFC.com.au

“I’ve had some good first halves, dropped away in the third quarter and then come back in the last.

“It’s a matter of being consistent over four quarters. And I can feel it in my body, in the third I can feel a bit flat and then I come back out and I feel OK because I’ve had a bit of a recovery in a way.”

August 3 – Werribee Report Card: Round 17 – NMFC.com.au

“I really liked the offensive side of his game considering he hasn't played half-back before. For him to go back, in one game, and defend like a defender...that was the most pleasing thing.” – Gavin Brown
