Despite the weekend being a mini-break for the majority of the North Melbourne list, a handful of Kangaroos will be in VFL action for North Ballarat and Werribee.

Football returns to Arden Street on Friday as Werribee faces Box Hill, and Scott McMahon will take the field alongside draftee Ed Vickers-Willis for the Tigers.

McMahon was one of Werribee’s best in its practice match last week, notching 23 disposals and nine marks playing in the defensive half.

Vickers-Willis will play his second consecutive match after his first VFL outing resulted in 11 disposals.

Meanwhile on Saturday at Eureka Stadium, five Kangaroos will play for North Ballarat against Footscray.

Trent Dumont will be welcomed into a Roosters’ midfield that he was a key part in throughout last year.

Dumont will be eyeing youngster Sam Durdin while launching into attack; North’s first selection in last year’s National Draft will be aiming to improve on a tough game in blustery conditions in Craigieburn last weekend.

Rookie Braydon Preuss was impressive both up forward and in the ruck against Coburg and has a game against the Bulldogs as a reward, while Robin Nahas will aim to continue his good form from last week, eyeing off a potential promotion to the senior list.
