Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has piled praise on Todd Goldstein, saying he is in ‘another dimension’.

Tigers’ ruckman Ivan Maric will have a tough task ahead of him on Saturday afternoon, with his opponent in rare touch.

"Ivan’s form’s been pretty good over the year, but Goldstein is another dimension from a playing point of view. His form is outstanding," Hardwick said on Thursday.

"He’s taken 94 per cent of the ruck. The next one is (Ben) Brown who has taken four or five per cent.

"He covers a lot of ground. He’s an incredible athlete for a ruckman and he just gets his hand on the ball. We’ll work our way through that."

The round six clash at Blundstone Arena looms as a blockbuster, with close to a sell-out crowd expected.

"We are really looking forward to the challenge," Hardwick said.

"North Melbourne are a good side, they have the same record as us at the moment, so it’s going to be a great challenge for both football clubs.

"Our players play a hard, tough brand of footy, as do North Melbourne.

"It’s going to be a tough game."

The Tigers will be looking to rebound from a disappointing loss to Geelong, and will aim to negate North’s run.

"The one thing we’ve got to take out of most of our games versus North is we probably dominate the inside 50’s most times, but they manage to get those goals over the back; that’s our big selection point this week and one of our strategies is to deny that.

"They do score heavily on that rebound, they get numbers back and they’re incredibly quick moving the ball through the corridor and through their handball receive players. That’s something we’ll look to nullify this week."

Hardwick said the Tigers’ two-three record is nothing to be alarmed about.

"There’s 22 games in the season, so from our point-of-view the win-loss, it is what it is," he added.

"We don’t worry about it all of a sudden going out of control.

"From our point of view, on a weekly basis we perform the same processes, we go about our season in the same way. We just get the process right, the result will take care of itself."

Richmond could be boosted by the return of Brett Deledio, but whether that’s at VFL or AFL level remains to be seen.

"He's (Deledio) missed four weeks but he's got 10 to 12 years of AFL experience behind him and he had a big pre-season so it's a matter of whether we think he's got enough in the tank," Hardwick said.

Ben Griffiths and Reece Conca will also come into consideration for a call-up.

"Conca played last week (in the VFL), whether he needs another game in the reserves, we’ll once again make a decision," Hardwick said.

"Griffo will train today and we’ll see how he pulls up. We're starting to get some players back, which is exciting."
