North Melbourne will head in to the penultimate round of the home and away season with a healthy playing list.

Only draftees Sam Durdin (shoulder), Daniel Nielson (knee) and Ed Vickers-Willis (shoulder) remain out of contention in 2015 after injuries ended their respective seasons earlier this year.

In more positive news for the Kangaroos, Daniel Wells continues to make important progress in a bid to make a return to AFL action.

North director of football Geoff Walsh said Wells had pulled up well following his second outing in as many weeks.

“We’ve been pleased with how ‘Wellsy’ has recovered from his first full game on Saturday and we will continue to monitor him this week before deciding on the plan for this weekend,” Walsh told NMFC.com.au.

Meanwhile, Walsh said the club was pleased with the progress of youngsters Durdin, Nielson and Vickers-Willis as they aim for a strong start to 2016.

“They are all putting in the hard yards now and the expectation is that they will be ready to get a full pre-season under their belts next year.

“If there is one positive to come out of their injuries, it’s that they’ve all gone through this together and will be stronger and motivated to make an impact in 2016.”

In other injury related news, Jamie Macmillan successfully returned to action in North’s win over Fremantle last weekend and reported no concerns with the hamstring that kept him sidelined for a month, while ruckman Daniel Currie also pulled up well after his VFL return for Werribee on Saturday.
