North Melbourne’s partnership with Werribee will be taken to the next level when the Tigers begin their VFL campaign this Saturday.

The Kangaroos have moved into a single VFL alignment after years of also partnering with North Ballarat.

With only three of Werribee’s games played on the same day as North’s – one of them coinciding with an interstate trip and no overlap – fans will easily be able to follow both teams throughout 2016.

Throughout 2016, the team at NMFC.com.au will bring you in depth VFL coverage, including video highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes access to all the latest happenings from Werribee.

Watching Werribee will give fans the best chance to see those Kangaroos who are yet to make their AFL debut. The likes of Ryan Clarke, Sam Durdin, Will Fordham and a number of draftees from the last two seasons will be pulling on the yellow and black at Avalon Airport Oval.

The home ground of Werribee – formerly known as Chirnside Park – is located between Watton Street and the Werribee River, 30 minutes from Arden St.

Nine of the Tigers’ 18 games will be played in Werribee, with the rest taking place across the state.

The VFL is televised on Channel 7 every Saturday and Werribee will have three regular season games broadcast during 2016.

- May 15 v Box Hill at 11:40am EST
- June 18 v Essendon at 2:10pm EST
- July 10 v Port Melbourne at 11:40am EST

Werribee’s head coach should be familiar to Kangaroos fans. John Lamont spent several seasons at Arden Street in a development coaching role before heading up the Tigers.

He’s capable of quality pump up speeches as well, as this rev-up shows.

It’s all set up for an exciting season in the VFL, and NMFC.com.au will be there to bring you all the action.
