Lindsay Thomas will not play against St Kilda on Sunday after accepting a one-match ban from the Match Review Panel.

The livewire forward was initially given a two-match ban, that was reduced to one with his early plea.

Thomas’ high contact with Bulldogs’ midfielder Lachie Hunter during an attempted tackle on Friday night was deemed as rough conduct.

Medical evidence produced by the Bulldogs forced the penalty into dangerous territory for Thomas and resulted in a hefty outcome.

The incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

The Bulldogs revealed to the media on Monday that Hunter had to go to hospital after the hit.
