North Melbourne has once again shown its commitment to women’s footy, attending the 'Future of Female Football' event in Tasmania on Tuesday.

The Roos joined Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman and a host of special guests in Hobart for the Parliamentary Friends of Football function.

Since receiving a provisional licence for the AFL Women’s League, North Melbourne has worked closely with both the AFL and AFL Tasmania to develop a female football development plan, essentially helping to fast-track the development of female talent in Australia’s southern-most state.

The club will continue to work closely with local clubs in Tasmania, while also running North’s Next Generation Academy in Tasmania which aims to ensure the game continues to attract and foster players, regardless of background or location.
