Road closures

Message from VicRoads (West Gate Distributor)
In June we will be carrying out major works which will require the temporary closure of Shepherd Bridge.

Shepherd Bridge will be closed from 8pm on Friday 23 June to 6am Monday 26 June (subject to weather).

The closure will help us safely install a new pedestrian and cycling bridge over the Maribyrnong River.

We will be working around the clock during this time to minimise the impact to your journey.

While we will do our best to keep noise to a minimum, local businesses and residents may experience an increase in noise. We appreciate your patience during the final stage of construction.

Detours will be in place for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists as shown in the accompanying maps.

Please note that the detour for pedestrians and cyclists will be in place from 4am Friday 23 June to 6am Monday 3 July.
