North’s very own VFL team is beginning to take shape, with current development coach, David Loader, named as the inaugural head coach.

Loader has spent the last 18 months at Arden Street, working closely with the club’s younger players at VFL level.

Before arriving at North, Loader spent nine years with the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup.

“We’re really rapt to have David taking charge of our new VFL team. He has a wealth of experience with developing young players and has established great relationships with our emerging players over the past two seasons,” North’s GM Football Cameron Joyce said.

“We’re confident he’ll enjoy a really smooth transition into VFL coaching as we enter the competition in 2018.”

Andrew Carson has been appointed as the VFL Football Manager, crossing over from the Roos’ recruiting team.

Prior to his role at North, Carson was the Regional Manager at the Murray Bushrangers.

“Both Andrew and David are really valuable and important appointments as we embark on our first season as a standalone team,” Joyce added.

“We’re putting all the building blocks in place and are looking forward to seeing our own side compete next year.”
