Back at Blundstone Arena for the first time since Round 7, North Melbourne will be looking to break a seven-game losing streak when it takes on Melbourne.

The Roos’ youngsters stood tall last week, but the potential returns of some experienced stars will make for an interesting week at the selection table.

Defenders

Vice-captain Robbie Tarrant is certain to return if he’s passed fit, having been a late withdrawal due to back soreness last week.

Lachlan Hansen (hamstring) didn’t play in the VFL on the weekend, and will need to get through training to prove himself ready to come back. 

Midfielders

The skipper Jack Ziebell will be doing everything he can to get back in after being managed last week.

Todd Goldstein was a solid performer at VFL level, while Braydon Preuss is also desperate to return after missing three games with a back injury.

Forwards

Lindsay Thomas booted two goals in the VFL on Sunday, while Ben McKay has impressed at either end of the ground and in the ruck, presenting a versatile option for the match committee.

Mason Wood faces a fitness test as he recovers from a calf injury.
