Werribee v Collingwood
Saturday, August 5
Etihad Stadium – 3.45pm

Werribee will face another big test of its VFL finals’ credentials when it takes on Collingwood on Saturday.

The Tigers, with seven AFL-listed players, will take on the 11th-placed Magpies at Etihad Stadium at 3.45pm.

When the teams met earlier in the season, Collingwood kicked the first eight goals of the game, before a remarkable comeback saw Werribee reel in a 47-point deficit to win.

This time around, Lachlan Hansen will lead the Tigers’ defence, with Ben McKay also impressing in the back half in recent weeks.

Josh Williams, Cam Zurhaar, Jed Anderson and Will Fordham will lead the charge through the midfield, while Lindsay Thomas has been named in the forward pocket.

Collingwood boasts an experienced lineup, with the likes of Jarryd Blair, Chris Mayne and Jesse White all in the 23, while dangerous forward Kayle Kirby, the league’s leading goal-kicker is sure to come under close attention.

Entry is free for North Melbourne members upon presentation of their 2017 membership card.
