Shaun Higgins, Ben Brown and Ben Cunnington are fighting it out for top spot in the AFL Coaches’ votes with two rounds remaining.
Higgins polled five votes for his 31-disposal haul against Hawthorn on Saturday, taking him to 38 for the season. Brown is second at North on 39, while Cunnington is still out in front on 40, but hasn’t polled in the past four rounds.
If the votes from the coaches are anything to go by, the trio could be fighting it out for the Syd Barker Medal in a month’s time.
Higgins was the only Kangaroo to poll in Sunday’s loss, the seventh time he’s been among the votes this season.
