North Melbourne will give Jarrad Waite and Jed Anderson all the time it can to allow them to prove their fitness ahead of this weekend's clash with Geelong.

Waite was a late withdrawal against Brisbane on Sunday with calf tightness while Anderson experienced hamstring tightness early in the game.

Both players were optimistic about their chances of playing following scans on Monday.
