Ben Cunnington has moved into the top 15 of the Shadforth Financial Group Champion Player of the Year Award after a perfect ten-vote display against West Coast.

The coaches gave Cunnington the top nod as the best player on the ground, after he racked up 39 disposals, 22 of which were contested, 7 clearances, 10 tackles and a goal.

Emerging midfielder Paul Ahern was also given plenty of praise for his efforts, gathering 37 possessions, 12 clearances and 5 inside 50s in an outstanding game.

Majak Daw was particularly influential when the game was in the balance early, and finished with 7 marks and 10 one percenters to go with 17 touches down back.

Daw received five votes, while fellow defender Ryan Clarke got three, with 28 disposals, backing up his 27 last week. The youngster has now had over 25 touches in three of his last four games.

Rounding out the votes were Eagle Jeremy McGovern, and North big man Todd Goldstein, who was the dominant big man on the field with 44 hit-outs, to go with 22 disposals and a goal.
