Shaun Higgins 31-disposal effort has prevented an Essendon clean-sweep in the latest round of the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award voting.
Orazio Fantasia scored a perfect 10 for his four-goal performance with Zach Merrett earning himself eight votes.
Higgins’ four votes extended his lead at the top of the North leaderboard, and kept him in touch with the top of the pile.
Carlton’s Patrick Cripps is the new leader, sitting one vote clear of Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe. Higgins sits 11 votes off Cripps in sixth.
