Rounds 6 to 10 of the fan-voted Mazda Excellence Award have been tallied, and the ‘Battle of the Bens’ is as fierce as ever.

Ben Cunnington and Ben Brown continue to battle it out, and are joined on the podium by Ben Jacobs as the half-way point of the season approaches.

Cunnington’s exceptional form has seen him open up a four-vote buffer, with Jarrad Waite also level with Jacobs on seven votes.

Cunnington’s 27-posession effort was hard to ignore in the loss to the Power, with Majak Daw’s brilliant effort in defence also catching the eye of fans.

Mason Wood’s 4-goal match-winning effort wasn’t quite good enough for three votes, with the fans rating Shaun Higgins’ 31-disposal effort higher. Jacobs’s excellent performance saw him pick up one vote.

No surprises in Round 9 with Cunnington’s record-breaking performance winning 89 per cent of the votes for best-on-ground. Jacobs’ efforts to nullify Brownlow Medallist Dustin Martin didn’t go unnoticed as he picked up two votes.

Veteran-forward Jarrad Waite put in a brilliant performance in the win over the Giants, kicking 4 goals and having 22 disposals. Home-state hero Brown earned the two votes with his electric third-term, in which he kicked 5 goals.

2 - Waite
1 - Turner 

Jacobs was everywhere in the clash with the Dockers, having 29-disposals and making 9 tackles, all-the-while running with Brownlow favourite Nat Fyfe. Waite put in another brilliant performance up forward, while Kayne Turner had his best game of the season.
