Young gun Ryan Clarke continues to edge closer to an AFL debut after he was named in North’s 25-man squad to take on West Coast.

Clarke, 19, has featured in the best regularly for Werribee this season, most recently amassing 33 disposals against Coburg.

Jed Anderson is also in the Roos’ squad, after two games back from injury.

The former Hawk hasn’t played at AFL level since Round 1, when he suffered a serious hamstring setback. He was sidelined for 12 weeks before returning to the VFL a fortnight ago.

Anderson could be a handy inclusion as a small-forward, while Majak Daw is again in the mix to claim a spot in attack or alongside Todd Goldstein in the ruck.

Daw was a late withdrawal in Round 14 against Adelaide, but had a big impact in the second half against Hawthorn the week prior.

Andrew Swallow and Sam Gibson have been named in the midfield, as they celebrate their 200th and 100th game milestones respectively.

The Roos haven’t made any omissions at this stage, with the final 22 to be announced on Friday afternoon.
