Port Adelaide midfielder Brad Ebert will miss Saturday’s clash against North, after suffering a bruised lung last week.

Ebert was ruled out by Power coach Ken Hinkley on Thursday.

“Brad won’t play, which is a disappointing thing, but player welfare and safety first is the most important thing for us,” Hinkley told RSN Radio.

“He trained [this week], but he got a really severe knock to his ribs and some bruising [on his lungs.]”

The Power will also be missing Nathan Krakouer, who is attending a family funeral, and defender Tom Jonas, who pulled up sore on Wednesday.

Jonas was set to return after missing six matches through suspension, but suffered hamstring soreness during Port’s main training session.

Ebert’s absence means Sam Gibson now holds the longest streak for consecutive games of current players, set to line up for his 101st appearance in a row on Saturday.
