Todd Goldstein has taken the lead in the AFLCA Player of the Year award after yet another best-on-ground performance.

The ruckman’s third 10-vote game of the season has propelled him to 47 for the season, taking him ahead of such players as Patrick Dangerfield, Dan Hannebery and Joel Selwood.

Goldstein was unstoppable against the Blues; his 45 hit-outs consistently giving the midfielders first use of possession en route to a 67-point victory.

One of those midfielders was Jack Ziebell, who earned eight votes for his game. The vice-captain has polled in the same amount of games as Goldstein (seven), and also finds himself in the top 10 on the overall leaderboard.

Robbie Tarrant polled coaches votes for the second game in a row, backing up his four against Essendon with a further six against the Blues.

Brent Harvey polled three for his 21 disposals and two goals, while Nick Dal Santo rounded out the votes, picking up one for his team-high 28 disposals.
