A close-to unchanged lineup for North Melbourne when it come up against Brisbane should mean some quality fantasy scores again this week for the Kangaroos.

The only change for North is that the team has lost Jed Anderson to a long-term hamstring injury, with Kayne Turner into the side as a like-for-like replacement.

Turner is worth considering for fantasy, but at $260,000 he’s not especially cheap and isn’t likely to score a whole lot better than he has in the past, though the removal of the sub vest is definitely a boon for him.

You’d expect he will spend most of his time in the forward line, which isn’t a great way to score points.

Two players to consider pretty closely this week will be Jarrad Waite and Drew Petrie as they come up against a Brisbane defence that last week conceded 26 goals to the West Coast Eagles.

Josh Kennedy booted eight goals against the Lions and posted a score of 180, and while Waite or Petrie might not reach those heights, they could both have big days against the Lions.

North fans will fondly remember Waite’s seven-goal, 146-point game against the Lions in Round 2 last year – of course that was at Etihad Stadium, rather than the Gabba.

It’s not a smart move to trade them into AFL Fantasy Classic for a single week, but they’re both worth a look in a draft-based game like AFL Fantasy Elite.

Oh, and let’s keep a little eye on rising star Taylor Garner after he kicked the sealer and scored 74 this week. At $245,000 he could be a good value pick-up if he continues to improve his scoring.
