After a remarkable start to the season, Ben Cunnington has had somewhat of a quiet couple of months.

The gutsy midfielder was last handed votes from the coaches back in Round 11, but on Saturday he returned to form in style.

With 29 disposals, 7 clearances, 6 tackles and 3 goals, Cunnington received a perfect 10 from Leon Cameron and Brad Scott.

The votes bring him within striking distance of Brent Harvey, although the number 29 was still a vital contributor against the Giants with 28 possessions and 2 goals.

It was enough for five votes, but it was another veteran who had the biggest impact. Drew Petrie kicked 5 goals to go with 18 disposals and 9 marks.

For his efforts, the vice-captain received eight votes.

Todd Goldstein has hit a purple patch in recent weeks, and he was again the dominant ruckman on the ground on Saturday.

Coming up against the Giants’ Shane Mumford, Goldstein finished with 20 possessions and 29 hit-outs.

He received three votes, while Ryan Bastinac got two for his 28 disposals and 2 goals.
